Lingzhi Oolong Kungfu Tea

Full-bodied oolong tea with tangerine fragance and a hint of bitterness from the Lingzhi mushroom, the bitterness is made pleasant with the mild sweetness from the liquorice roots. 

1. Place 3-5 grams of tea leaves in a pre-warmed tall glass, more if using a tea pot. 

2. Add small amount of 95ºC water and discard the water after 5 seconds, this is a process known as 'waking' the tea. 

3. Add just enough water to cover the tea leaves and place a lid on top, allow the tea leaves to open fully. 

4. Fill the glass/pot with 95ºC water. 

5. Enjoy the tea hot. 

 

Typically, Jade Forest® tea leaves can be brewed 3 times, the tones and flavour changing with each glass, simply refill your glass with hot water when it's about 1/3 full. 

Lingzhi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a tree mushroom used in various traditional asian wellness formulations for many centuries. Lingzhi is particularly rich in polysaccharides and is also known as Reshi from its Japanese name. 

 

Oolong is a partially oxidized tea, it is rich in antioxidants and various essential minerals, due to its semi-fermented nature, it does not contain as much caffeine as green tea, and more antioxdants than black teas.
